I don’t want AI to think instead of me. I want it to make me think better.
We’re so focused on making AI smarter that we’ve stopped asking whether it’s making us smarter.
I use AI for almost everything, and I’m not against it doing work for us. Automating the tedious parts often frees us to think harder about the rest. But we’ve started measuring progress by how much human effort disappears: less writing, fewer decisions, less thinking.
Some of that effort is the point. Struggling with an idea, questioning an assumption, working through a mistake: that’s how understanding gets built. If AI always supplies the answer, we end up depending on intelligence we don’t actually have.
So I want AI that makes us more capable. AI that challenges what we assume, points at what we missed, and helps us build judgment, not just output.
Why Riddled
AI can already write your notes and answer your questions. Riddled asks a different one: are you becoming a better thinker? It reads along while you write, stays quiet most of the time, and asks when something doesn’t add up. The thinking stays yours.
It’s the same question behind VibeWise, my earlier project: AI writes the code, but are you becoming a better engineer? That video is where this started.
